Matt Johnson, Env. Dipl.
Environmental Technician

Matt has four years of experience in the environmental consulting field; two years of experience working with Corvidae and two years working in Alberta, British Columbia and Nepal in the government and private sectors. He spent four months in Nepal researching, compiling and editing technical reports on environmental policy, agricultural project progress and environmental assessment for various international non-governmental organizations.

Matt has completed several Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for residential and commercial properties in Banff National Park, Canmore and Exshaw, Alberta. He has completed Phase II and Phase III reports and has overseen asbestos abatement projects in Banff National Park. In addition, his experience in construction and demolition is an invaluable asset to environmental assessment and surveillance of site demolition and construction.

Matt has completed pre- and post- construction site assessments, environmental field reports, soils assessments and the resource components of environmental impact assessments for oil and gas projects in Alberta. Matt’s regulatory experience consists of permanent water application requirements for residential areas, Phase I Canadian Standards Association requirements and Alberta Sustainable Resource Development guidelines for public lands, fisheries and wildlife.
