PROJECT: Wind Farm Reclamation

LOCATION: Southern Alberta

CLIENT: Canadian Hydro Power

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Wrote and implemented a micro-presciptive reclamation plan. Specified methods depending on slope, aspect, materials and type of disturbance (road, crane pad, rutting, etc.).
• Reclaimed native range to pre-disturbance quality for cattle farming land use in the area.
• Using innovative methods to reclaim areas with high wind.
• Provided weed monitoring and management for 5 years following reclamation to ensure effective native species establishment.
