LOCATION: Chiang Mai, Thailand

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

• Managed the Sustainable Agriculture Field Program: Chiang Mai Divisional Forest Office, Thailand. Thailand Royalty Projects, 1997.
• Developed land use planning pertaining to effects on resource harvesting for the Thai government.
• Conducted environmental impact assessment with Phase I and II analysis and solutions to stop health problems caused by agricultural chemical use.
• Facilitated public consultation with the elders and field workers in the area to determine current agricultural practices.
• Educated the hill tribe people on sustainable agriculture methods, irrigation methods to reduce water consumption and prevent water contamination. Taught colleagues sample collection techniques, field assessment and English.
